Meet Christopher J. Nowik, O.D.

Dr. Nowik was born and raised in Northampton, PA. He attended Lehigh University and graduated with a BS degree in biology.

He attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry for his professional studies. While at PCO, he was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honor society and participated in SOSH (Student Optometric Service to Haiti). He interned at The Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, Pa, the Veteran’s Administration Outpatient Clinic in Allentown, PA, and a private office.

After graduation, Dr. Nowik worked with Dr. Philip Sabatine in Bangor, a popular optometrist in the Slate Belt area. He eventually purchased Dr. Sabatine’s practice and moved it to its current location.

Dr. Nowik is professionally active in the American Optometric Association, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and the Lehigh Valley Optometric Society. He is affiliated with Vision Source, an independent network of optometric doctors that exemplifies some of the best optometric practices in the country.

You can usually find him bass fishing, hiking and biking, gardening or attending the Iron Pigs baseball games and college wrestling events in his free time.

Dr. Nowik and his wife, Donna, have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
